At 19, I began my career selling travel agency franchises, eventually founding the world's largest executive search firm in franchising. Despite early success, including co-founding a private equity firm and building various businesses, personal struggles such as a difficult divorce and the responsibility of supporting five children led me to a low point. Choosing to rise from this, I transformed myself physically and spiritually, aiming to create a wellness brand that mirrored my personal journey towards resilience and health.

 

Over decades, I delved into the health and wellness industry, exploring a variety of clinics, spas and therapies such as float, red light therapy, injection/IV therapies, pain, massage, and many others. I distilled the best practices from these experiences, focusing on design, operations, marketing strategies, and innovative, less regulated and staffed medical concepts. There were some great concepts and great founders I encountered, some I even tried to partner with, but I never felt sold completely on these concepts, I wanted to make the biggest impact that was scalable at an affordable price. Focusing on simplicity, I decided on a membership-based model that offered a gym-like experience accessible at any time.  Leveraging my background in Artificial Intelligence, I crafted a cutting-edge technology platform to enhance the client experience, streamline operations, and optimize equipment use.  Most importantly, I wanted the client to have the best experience possible, from receiving our marketing, to becoming a frequent member, and most importantly, improving their lives by reducing inflammation, stress and pain.

 

Meeting Myleen, my wife, was the catalyst for true change, aligning with my belief in a larger purpose to help others. Despite our heavy family responsibilities, we persisted in our demanding careers, working 60-80 hours a week, which led to overwhelming stress, affecting our health and resulting in Myleen's hospitalization. Yet, the dream of fulfilling our shared goals mission never faded.

 

With the help of Myleen and her undying support, we decided to pursue our dream of creating Scape, a company dedicated to providing sanctuary for relaxation, stress management, and wellness. We envisioned Scape as a necessity, not a luxury, accessible to all, especially in today's stressful world.

 

Together, Myleen and I launched Scape with a mission to help people reclaim their health amidst a stress epidemic. It's more than just a business; it's our way of improving lives, one person at a time, through transformation and compassion.
